An Interview with Kris Dinha & Sabrina Panero: Happy Work Anniversary!

In August, Kris Dinha, Senior Resourcer and Sabrina Panero, Delivery Consultant were celebrating their work anniversary with ABN Resource. Therefore, just recently we sat down with them and ask a few questions about their experience as ABNers..

First, can you tell us more about your role and background?

Kris Dinha: I’ve been in recruitment since 2017 recruiting for the NHS, Ministry of Defence & NATO. I’m now a Resourcer, which has always been my favourite part of 360 recruitment – research, identifying skills, & searching for that ‘unicorn’.

Sabrina Panero: I have been in recruitment for 7 years now, and at ABN, I am a Delivery Consultant, which means I reach out to candidates, I get to know them and their career goals so I can match them to their perfect job.

Do you remember your first day at ABN Resource?

Kris Dinha: Unfortunately, I don’t remember it that well. It has been 4 years…

Sabrina Panero: Yes, it was exciting but nerve raking! James took me for coffee first and made me feel much better about it all.

Can you make a comparison between then and now? How has your job changed over time?

Kris Dinha: The industry & technology are always evolving, so yes, some of my daily tasks and the way I do them have changed. However, the focus of my job has remained the same, to find the best candidates for our clients.

Sabrina Panero: This was my first role within the lubes and fuels markets, so I was pretty blind about the industry. Now, I understand how exciting and innovative and forward-thinking this industry is, and I think I got better at transmitting those feelings to our network.

What has been your biggest achievement/success?

Kris Dinha: I’m very proud of

the qualifications I gained over the last couple of years. I have done several courses, masterclasses & exams on sourcing (some rather challenging), and got to learn from the top people in the industry – the knowledge I have gained is invaluable.

Sabrina after successful candidate placement

Sabrina Panero: Making some great placements with amazing candidates. Happy clients and happy employees.

And, what is been the biggest challenge so far (if any 🙃)?

Kris Dinha: Probably some of the tricky roles I worked on. Challenging, but always doable!

Sabrina Panero: The learning curve when it came to the industry, as in my previous answer.

What do you like the most about working at ABN Resource?

Kris Dinha: The team. We have an amazing team of people that love what they do and do it to the highest standard, which I love since I’m a perfectionist myself. Despite working from home (again, another perk of working for ABN) we’re all very close – my colleague, Oli, even made it his daily goal to send me a ‘dad joke’ every day.

Sabrina’s “office” view

Sabrina Panero: Our team, and how flexible our working setting is – James allows us to work from wherever suits us, which in turn allows me to visit my family back home every Christmas, or enjoy some sunshine elsewhere in Europe from time to time, for example.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

Kris Dinha: Sourcing! I love reading people’s profiles, trying to work out if they’d be a good fit for our client, and if they would benefit from a move.

Sabrina Panero: Talking to candidates from all over the world. I just love it.

And finally, what’s your favourite memory (together?) at ABN Resource?

Kris Dinha: Probably the year I joined when James took us to Amsterdam for our Christmas party. We’ve done many fun trips since then, but I guess that one was my first so it’ll always be my favourite.

Sabrina Panero: Our trip to Krakow last year!

Thank you Kris and Sabrina for sharing your story and experience with us.

We are looking forward to more years and amazing memories together!
