About The Job

The organisation is seeking a Head of Product Management and Application Engineering to join their team based in Spain. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy and driving product innovation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and communicating clear policies for product development, including methodologies, processes, and standards.
  • Developing and implementing efficient processes for product lifecycle management, covering conceptualisation, development, launch, and continuous optimisation.
  • Adopting product management methodologies such as Agile or Lean to enhance interdepartmental collaboration and accelerate time to market.
  • Monitoring sales and product performance through KPIs and data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prioritising product development based on market analysis, customer needs, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Conducting periodic portfolio reviews to assess the viability of products.
  • Managing a team of Product Managers and Application Engineers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams for seamless integration of product policies.
  • Establishing clear KPIs for the team and providing ongoing feedback to achieve goals.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation within the product team by encouraging the exploration of new ideas and technologies.

 

About the Candidate

  • A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of the lubricant market along with relevant products and applications.
  • Proven experience in initiating, managing, and closing B2B sales processes.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and excellent English communication skills.
