Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert product support and advice to global customers and sales agents. Develop comprehensive product information to support value propositions and promote the organisation’s image through impactful presentations.
  • Tackle complex customer issues, often working with incomplete data sets. Understand and process complex technical information to devise and communicate effective solutions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key technical decision-makers and influencers within the customer base to sway product choices in approval programmes.
  • Keep abreast of global technical developments involving Classification Societies, regulatory bodies, and OEMs. Aim to be a recognised expert in relevant industry sectors.
  • Provide essential coaching and training to the sales team, focusing on specific application areas and techno-commercial aspects related to new product development. Work closely with R&D to bridge customer needs with internal innovation efforts.
  • Assist the Technical Service Team by analysing condition monitoring test reports and delivering feedback to sample providers.
  • Act as a company ambassador at conferences, field trials, inspections, and customer meetings.
  • Mentor and coach the team to ensure competency, motivation, and flexibility.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Degree level or equivalent in chemistry, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong background in technical/engineering fields, preferably with knowledge of tribology.
  • Familiarity with marine and textile industries, along with a solid understanding of applications and products within the marine, textile, industrial, and food-grade markets.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Must possess a full driving licence and be prepared to travel globally as needed.
