About Role

  • In-line with the business’s strategic goals, develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices to deliver against key performance indicators
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to Marketing to facilitate the design and execution of an impactful inbound marketing strategy as a key source of qualified sales leads transferrable to the commercial leads
  • Accumulate, maintain, and share a comprehensive knowledge/understanding of the main targeted industry sectors to identify key business opportunities and feedback key market intelligence to the business to shape strategic and tactical planning.
  • Contribute as a key stakeholder to the development and maintenance of the company’s brands and value propositions.
  • Own and drive key account management and coordination
  • Develop OEM relationships with a focus on achieving approvals or acceptance of our products.
  • Authority within the business for all things related to the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

 

About Candidate

  • Be accountable for new business development activities globally in this industry segment, managing the business development process from opportunity identification to proposal/quote submission to deliver a healthy and dynamic sales pipeline and spearhead growth activities.
  • Target growth opportunities with existing key end-user accounts, creating and leveraging long-term revenue-generating relationships via prospecting, evaluating, building and managing to accelerate growth and reach with existing and new products and maximise share-of-wallet.
  • Target new customer acquisition within the core strategic growth industry segments, generating new SQLs and opportunities, screening potential business opportunities, identifying and contacting key decision-makers, and selecting deals in-line with growth strategies to strengthen the core customer base in the critical regions.
  • Initiate and close business deals through methodical research and market mapping, forging connections and engaging stakeholders at key customer targets, building business cases that provide customer value, generating proposals, negotiating and closing opportunities, and building relationships for sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis, plus negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals to position the company competitively to win strategic opportunities.
  • Fluency in English is required; advanced German is preferred.
