Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key oil & gas industry clients as a foundation for long-term partnerships.
- Utilize insights into the customer’s business to create value propositions that position specialty chemicals as effective solutions, driving increased sales.
- Leverage industry application knowledge to challenge the status quo and clearly articulate our value proposition, effectively making the case for change.
- Identify sales opportunities, set goals, and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Generate and qualify leads through multiple channels, such as cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to develop new products and provide customer support.
- Understand client needs and offer tailored solutions by leveraging the company’s products and services to address customer challenges.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts and track performance against targets, regularly reporting progress to management.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., product development, marketing, operations) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and service agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for the company and the client.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in technical sales within the oil and gas, lubricants, specialty chemicals, or related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and develop data-driven sales strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
