We are currently recruiting for a Senior Test Methods Developer on behalf of our client. This role is crucial in assessing technology trends that underpin strategic success across various sectors. The ideal candidate will significantly advance our client’s product and technology development efforts globally by continuously improving existing laboratory methods and identifying new testing approaches.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Test Methods Developer, you will have the following essential duties:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results and advocate change.
- Identifying and implementing new test methods to enhance product development.
- Working closely with external vendors to assess and integrate new tools and technologies.
- Contributing to developing a strategic plan for continual enhancement of test methods.
- Utilising the Design of Experiments to maximise efficiency in test method development.
- Publishing reports and effectively communicating findings to the global organisation.
- Maintaining global standards for method effectiveness and calibration.
- Conducting thorough literature research to remain updated with industry advancements.
- Participating actively in relevant industry events to identify strategic opportunities.
CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Doctorate with 2 years of experience, Or a Master’s degree with 5 years of industry experience, or no degree but c. 10 years of industrial experience.
- Strong educational background in chemistry, materials science, and engineering (mechanical or chemical).
- Proven track record in materials testing and characterisation, with expertise in surface science, emulsion chemistry, and formulations.
- Passion for applying scientific principles to develop test methods for functional fluids.
- Proficiency in statistics, data organisation, and machine learning.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and project management capability.
- Experience engaging with test tools and methods providers to identify novel technologies.
- Practical use of Design of Experiments and expertise in statistical analysis.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
