Introducing: Kate Patterson, Our New Delivery Consultant USA

Kate Patterson is a new Delivery Consultant at ABN Resource, bringing over 12 years of diverse experience to the lubricants and fuels recruitment industry.

Her journey has spanned food service, coaching, and medical fields, all while nurturing her passion for connecting with people. Kate’s enthusiasm for collaboration and her knack for building meaningful relationships make her a fantastic addition to the ABN team.

We recently caught up with Kate to learn about her background and her exciting plans at ABN Resource!

Can you share a bit about your background?

I am a passionate and creative individual with a strong passion for food, which is where my focus started as I entered the workforce. However, after 12 years in the industry and as life presented different opportunities, I have prided myself in championing varying aspects of numerous fields including food service, coaching, medical, and now recruiting. I am also a sole-proprietor and make bread to sell at my local farmer’s market.  I have had the good fortune to work in spectacular places such as Disney World and down in Antarctica, which has afforded me an extensive network and learning opportunities across many countries. 

What made you decide to work with ABN Resource?

I am inspired by the work culture and care shown to each team member throughout ABN. It is this care and collaboration that motivated me to join the team and embrace a new and exciting industry.

What key skills will you bring to the business?

It has been said since I was little that I don’t know a stranger. Connecting with people comes with ease to me, and I enjoy learning about others. I firmly believe there is always something we have in common, even in the smallest detail, and I enjoy discovering those commonalities, which helps me build meaningful relationships with those I encounter.

Working in the American lubricants & fuels market, what are you most looking forward to achieving?

I am looking forward to expanding our business in America and bringing our services to new clientele, showing them the benefits of partnering with ABN.

Finally, how did you find the first week at ABN Resource?

To quote Spoc, “fascinating.” While it is always a bit overwhelming joining a new line of work, I have enjoyed learning about the many different levels and jobs required in the lubricant industry. Like an onion, there are so many layers in this field, and they are all connected. From base oils to additives to finished products, it amazes me how many different aspects there are in this industry, and I look forward to learning more.
