We are recruiting a global BDM role in Marine and offshore lubricants. A family-owned company with significant global expansion and double-digit growth delivered in the past 3 consecutive years. As the company enters its 3rd generation of family ownership it is very well positioned to consolidate its position as a market leader whilst progressing with organic, healthy, sustainable growth. 

The company is a full range lubricant manufacturer, in the international business however, they focus on high performance, environmentally acceptable lubricants. The diversified product portfolio is bundled in concepts such as GREENMARINE a full marine range and with full array of on deck and below deck marine applications that meet or exceed VGP standards and have approvals from leading OEM’s and supply some of the key companies in the industry.


  • Reporting to VP this is a senior global role.
  • Grow sales in Marine, Dredging, and Offshore market supported by Regional Business Development Managers.
  • Assure communication with OEM’s and lead the approval process together with the inhouse technical centre, R & D.
  • Average of 30% – 40% Travel. There can be some intense travel periods due to trade show season and customer demands.
  • Big market growth opportunity. You will be supported by key approvals from major OEM’s and market end users, a leading product range for quality & performance. Excellent service levels, and a reliable, secure supply chain.


  • A solution focused, highly motivated, proactive, technical and strategic sales professional.  
  • Ideally a specialist in marine lubricants, or marine industry background.
  • Between 10-15 years market experience in Marine sector. 
  • An engineer (marine or mechanical) qualified technical sales person.
  • First class people skills. 
  • Can sell to both end user and manage distributors. 
  • Ability to sell, segment market and product manage. 
  • Can prioritise, work with structure and process.
  • Operate in a highly autonomous work environment whilst collaborating with a global team.
  • Able to analyse and interpret market and product data. 
  • Fluent in English and ideally German speaking too. Other Languages (French, Spanish would be a bonus
