Sustainability within the Lubricants industry. ‘Greenwashing’ or a Green Future?

In May ABN Resource became a certified carbon positive company. The announcement was well-received within the lubes community and we now feel much stronger value alignment to the sector having taken this next step in our sustainability journey.

The announcement also opened a discussion if the lubricants industry can really be good for the environment. This reaction highlighted the importance of better communication about the lubricants industry to communities and people outside the lubes sector. The environmental benefits, efficiency, innovations and critical contribution lubricants make to keep the world turning are not getting through to a wider audience. This perception is an important challenge to overcome.

As a global talent company serving the lubricants industry, we are passionate in our support of the sector, what it stands for and the organizations we support. To get the top talent in place to keep businesses growing, we will continue to engage with people outside the sector to attract them to the industry. This will benefit employers to hire more diverse talent, fill skills gaps made by new technologies and initiatives in the sector. We of course will keep networking and developing relationships with our 22,000 + global lubricant industry network too because those skills and experiences are hugely valuable to companies navigating change and wanting to grow.
